A distinct advantage of using enzymes as catalysts is the simplicity and scalability of their production. Using standard biotechnology techniques, we reroute Nature’s robust machinery to overproduce our enzyme of interest. Protein expression performed at the bench on a small scale can be rapidly transferred to our fermentation tanks for large scale production. Using established fermentation techniques with a proven track record of scalability, we can readily ‘synthesize’ large quantities of our biocatalysts.
